After about a month of deliberation and technical debate, Nuclear Fallout Enterprises created a BEAST for -=BwA=- Gaming!  This beast was unleashed last month in the form of the new -=BwA=- Dedicated Server. This box was such a beast that Nuclear Fallout has adopted the configuration as its standard high end Dedicated Server Package.

Here are the Specs:

• Four 1TB HHD's in RAID 10 (Uber Fast Access!!)

Our hosting package is purchased through 1and1 blah blah.  This package was intentionally chosen to substantially exceed the usual type of web traffic seen by our website an message boards.  The generous storage and high speed connection serves the additional role of "fast-download server" for all of our Counter-Strike Source servers.  If you connect and do not have the map in rotation, fear not!  It will download in a second or two - in fact, you may never notice that you didn't have the map!

HLStats tracks an enormous amount of information about your game play style and skill on our servers.  Data is collected each time a player connects to a BwA server and is periodically pooled, aggregated, analyzed, and finally presented to you in your browser.  Check out your kills, deaths, headshots, streaks, percentages, time connected, global server activity, scout your opponents, and see where you rank among BwA players.

L4D2 10 v. 10 Super Versus

An L4D2 plugin has been installed on L4D2-PrivateServer #5 to enable 10 v 10 versus.  Want to help test the plugin?  Join Ventrilo around 8:00 PM EST tonight.  It may take some time to work the bugs out, but the benefit should be well worth the wait!  See Mike3D's post in the forums for details on how to connect to the server.  And yes, with 10 survivors, they're going to need more zombies.

NEW SUPER SERVERS HAVE ARRIVED!!!!

The new servers are up and running.  Early reports are saying that the pings and hit registration on these servers is like none experienced!  We have set them up with Mani Admin for now, but we are looking into a couple of other options that may streamline our admin processes even more!  And for you stats whores......fear not, all servers are logging to HLstatsXand in-game stats are available.  Watch for more servers!  There have been hints of Counter Strike Source TDM, GunGame Turbo, large Dust2/Office and even a TF2 server.  Listed below are the current servers we are offering!

Big Move to New High Speed Servers Coming Soon...

Gents in an effort to make -=BwA=- the best that it can be, we decided that our current servers just are not going to make the cut.  As of tonight we are now the owners of a Dedicated Server Box.

Here are the basic specs.

• 2 Intel Harpertown XEON 5430 Quad Core Processors (8 Cores @ 2.33 mhz)
  
• 250gb SATA HD
  
• 4096mb DDR2 RAM
  
• 100 mb switch
  
• 3000gb Bandwidth Transfer
  
• Windows 2008 Server platform
  
• Atlanta Datacenter - InterNap

In a nutshell we now have the ability to host servers for up to 350 player slots.  We also purchased a license to run a 100 slot Ventrilo Server on it.  This will give us the ability to host multiple high performance game servers and covering a variety of games.  The box is being built Today and will be shipped to the Atlanta Datacenter.  We hope to have it online within 14 days.
